Late in the night you could hear the lock on the main door unlocking and you knew it was your partner, the alchemy genius. Only thing you can do now is to try and find a way out of it before you get lost forever. You know relationship are never easy, but this wasn’t even a relationship anymore, you and Albedo got separated in a labyrinth when you let go of his hand for just a second and now whenever you ran to him, he always disappears. The clock on the wall kept on tickling, the tears kept on sliding your cheeks and wetting the pillow, you kept on staring right through the wall, thinking of what to do next. But the hurt you feel because it seems like he always puts you after his research while you always put him first was only adding fuel to the flames inside your chest. You were always too tired to talk to him and he didn’t answer you murmured words, always leaving the room behind and closing the door. He never communicated with you, you didn’t have a proper conversation, or any for that matter, for months now. You were furious at Albedo for never being there for you. You were sad, hurt, confused, but the most intense emotion you were feeling was frustration. The night was cold, winter was approaching and you just wanted to feel his warmth for a bit, but he wasn’t here. You couldn’t fall asleep and the wall you were staring at didn’t have anything to pique your interest anymore. You would go to sleep without him and, if you had luck, woke up only to see him exiting the room, only placing a small kiss you barely felt on your cheek before he went back to his research, leaving you behind like he always did. The man you let in your bed, was almost never in your bed. Once again, your back was cold because he wasn’t there. You were laying in your bed on your side, silent tears rolling down your cheeks as your cradled the blanket tightly over your body.
